Sit to stand: where the effort actually starts
A user case following the sequence before standing up, not the standing itself.
Situation
A user described standing up from a low chair as the hardest part of the day, more than walking distance.
What we changed
No product change. The case documents the loading sequence and where restriction is reported.
What we observed
The reported effort was concentrated in the seconds before weight transfer, while the knee was still deeply flexed.
Method
Structured interview and video of five repetitions from three chair heights, with the user consenting to publication.
What this does not show
One user, one day, no instrumented force data. Chair heights were not standardised across other cases.
Next step
Add force data and repeat with a comparable second user.
